The price of tea has surged by 15% to its highest level in two years. The increase is in part due to a failed crop in Kenya which is the worlds largest exporter of black tea. Poor weather conditions have been blamed. Initially the crop was hit by a drought, followed by heavy frost and finally a severe monsoon season in India and Sri Lanka put paid to any relief for the tea markets. ...
