If you were wondering who MasterChef SA Judge Pete Goffe-Wood is check him out here on Expresso sharing a Grilled Squid & Pumpkin Pesto with the world. If you are worried about the moustache you can breathe easy, this was filmed in Movember.

There is no question, Pete is going to be the favourite judge. He does have a certain edge about him and I'm keen to see him lose the plot with someone.

In the meantime why not enjoy this recipe

Here is a delightful little blackberry sauce from Michael Oliver for Christmas. Perfect for gammon or ham this will be a special little something on your Christmas table.

You can substitute the redcurrant jelly with apple or quice as with the liqueur, if you don't have Cointreau you can use another citrus based one like Grand Marinier or van der Hum.

This is my contribution to all our family braai's and get togethers...

You don't have to use a head of lettuce, and can buy a large bag of ready washed lettuce (with lots of rocket) to make it much quicker and easier.

The unusual sweetness of the pear, and sour creaminess of the blue cheese (any blue cheese will do) is such a novelty with most South Africans.  It also looks really good.

A Red Pepper is also full of antioxidants which are ideal for this time of year. Michael also informs us that a Red Pepper has more vitamin C than an orange. We do request however that we do not change the name of spring onions in South Africa to scallions. We're all very happy with the name as it ...

This is a hearty man meal if ever there was one. You can girlify it by using Rooibos tea in place of the red wine but why on earth would you want to do that?

Not only does Aubrey expertly guide you through his Spicy Butternut Soup recipe but he also puts on a singing display with the Zulu verse of the South African National Anthem. Is there no end to this mans talent? This recipe is a pretty good one too with no shortage of herbs & spices to really set this soup apart from the rest.
