A Rhode Island man has set a new world record with the first pumpkin ever to weigh more than a ton. The pumpkin grown by Ron Wallace of Rhode Island, came in at 1 ton guaranteeing him first place in the competition and a $5,500 prize for first place plus $10,000 for breaking the one-ton mark.
